Puerto Rican rap star, Álvaro Díaz, teams up with visionary artist and performer, Nathy Peluso, for his new single “XQ ERES ASÍ.”
The trappy R&B infused bop, produced by Manuel Lara and AvilaWTF, is the focus track off the deluxe version of his critically acclaimed and 2X Latin GRAMMY nominated album, Sayonara, out October 15th via Universal Music Latino.
The steamy visuals directed by The Movement were shot in Mexico City and walk us through a series of memories and flashbacks of Álvaro and Nathy’spassionate yet toxic relationship. As we see and hear them questioning each other about their actions and why they’re no longer together, we traverse through a series of scenes with several outfit changes where we get a glimpse of what their love story was like. In a couple of scenes, we see Díaz wear a hat with the Venezuelan flag showing solidarity with the people of Venezuela given the current grim conditions of the country.
