Puerto Rican rising star, Álvaro Díaz has teamed up with global star Rauw Alejandro on new collab “Problemón,” the latest single off Diaz’s forthcoming album Felicilandia available October 29.
The song was produced by Díaz along with renowned producers Nekxum (Daddy Yankee), Jota Rosa (Selena Gomez, J Balvin), Caleb Calloway (Bad Bunny), and JBD. Díaz had this to say about the track:
This song was born early in the pandemic, locked up in my apartment in Puerto Rico. That was when I started the concept wanting to continue using words that are used a lot in Puerto Rico for the title, as I did with ‘brilloteo’ and ‘llori pari.’ Then I introduced it to Rauw and we worked on the song together and it ended up being one of my favorite songs I’ve ever done. All the producers who worked on the song did a great job and managed to create a unique sound that was very different from the reggaeton that everyone is making.
The video was shot in Miami, FL, and directed by close collaborator DeathOfGian (Jhay Cortez, FEID). The fast, dark, and grainy shots of Álvaro and Rauw in high fashion singing the lyrics of the song, tell the story of Álvaro’s problematic situation with a woman who is in a relationship with another man who already suspects her infidelity.
