Apple TV+ will expand its award-winning original series lineup with “Lucky,” a new limited drama set to star Golden Globe Award winner, SAG Award winner, and Emmy Award nominee Anya Taylor-Joy, who will also serve as executive producer.
“Lucky” is based on the New York Times bestselling novel and Reese’s Book Club pick of the same name by Marissa Stapley.
In “Lucky,” Taylor-Joy stars as a young woman who left behind the life of crime she was raised in years ago, but must now embrace her darker, criminal side one final time in a desperate attempt to escape her past.
“Lucky” is the latest collaboration between Apple TV+ and Hello Sunshine, adding to a lineup that includes the Emmy Award-winning series “The Morning Show,” which just wrapped production on its fourth season; the hit series “The Last Thing He Told Me,” which recently began production on its second season; and “Surface,” set to release its second season in 2025. Additionally, Apple recently teamed up with Taylor-Joy for the upcoming high-action, genre-bending Apple Original Film, “The Gorge.”
