‘get high w me’ is about a friends-with-benefits situation where the connection is solely based on hooking up and getting high together. As all situationships go, one is playing along, while one wants more out of the relationship and is masking their true feelings for the other. ‘nothing’s ever felt so right/so come get high w me’ is merely an excuse to see and be with them again.
“get high w me” is a saturated indie pop gem that explores the complexities of modern romance.
