Friday, August 30th, was a historic night for the talent that has been trailblazing Latin music. Spotify hosted its second installment of the show-stopping ¡Viva Latino! Live concert series with a jaw-dropping show at the American Airlines Arena.
The rhythm-infused festivities took the city of Miami over and featured performances by the hottest names in Latin music today— Bad Bunny, Nicky Jam, Rosalia, Sebastian Yatra, and Sech.
The show was a testament to the promising future of Latin music, and how far these artists can go. The crowd cheered as the artists performed a catalog of fan-favorites, such as “Un Año” (Sebastian Yatra), “Si Tú La Ves” (Nicky Jam), “Con Altura” (Rosalía) and “Otro Trago” (Sech). The genre’s hottest artist and event-headliner, Bad Bunny, closed out the show with a booming set that could be felt across the downtown metropolitan area. His performance included classics and chart-toppers like “Caro” and ” Estamos Bien”, and of course, “MIA.” Toward the end of the evening, Nicky Jam surprised the restless crowd by bringing Sech, to the stage to perform “Atrévete,” along with Feid and Lenny Tavarez.
Produced in partnership with CMN (Cárdenas Marketing Network), ¡Viva Latino! Live is inspired by Spotify’s multinational ¡Viva Latino! playlist, which highlights the most important voices in Latin music, both established and emerging, and brings them to the rest of the world. Spotify and their ¡Viva Latino! Playlist had a lot to celebrate last night, as the playlist had recently passed the 10 million followers.
