One of the most iconic fictional characters in the world, Batman will be honored with the 2,790th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Thursday, September 26, at 11:00 am PT at 6764 Hollywood Boulevard in front of The Hollywood Guinness World Records Museum.

Batman will receive his star in the category of Motion Pictures. Batman will also be awarded the Guinness World Records title for the first superhero with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in a special presentation by official GWR adjudicator Michael Empric.

Created for DC Comics by Bob Kane with Bill Finger, Batman first appeared in 1939’s Detective Comics #27 and since then the Dark Knight has stood as a symbol of determination, courage, and justice to generations of fans for more than 85 years. Batman is one of the most iconic fictional characters in the world and a self-made Superhero, notable not for his superpowers but for his intelligence, determination, and tech savvy.
