Freedia teased out the project’s arrival with the title track and first single “Louder” [feat. Icona Pop]. As a whole, the EP shines a light on every side of her genre-blurring style. Steeped in Big Easy instrumental virtuosity, New Orleans staples The Soul Rebels lay down an unbreakable horn-powered groove on the opener “Pipe That” as our star volleys vocals back and forth with Icona Pop once more.
Following 15 million Spotify streams on their collaboration “Raising Hell” and knockout television performances together on Jimmy Kimmel LIVE!, the American Music Awards, and Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Freedia reunites with Kesha on the soulful and striking “Chasing Rainbows.”
The five-track set concludes on the sassy send-off “GTFOMF” [feat. Lil Aaron & Boyfriend]. Throughout every tune, she pushes a mantra of letting your personality ring out as loudly as you possibly can!
