Multi-platinum Mexican music star Carin León has released the highly anticipated video for “Lamentablemente,” his collaboration with Mexican music superstar Pepe Aguilar.
The video’s release coincides with Aguilar’s upcoming honor at the Billboard Latin Music Awards, where the Mexican music icon will be inducted into the Hall of Fame.
The video was directed by Yerick Johnson and produced by Kran Rosas in Hermosillo, Sonora. It transports the performers to a utopian world where they are the sole survivors, able to walk on waters that have submerged the past. Carin and Pepe find themselves in a fantastical realm, caught between heaven and earth, surrounded by cetaceans and fish that survive out of water. A grand eclipse, a burning sun, and millions of stars bear witness to the sorrow of lost love.
