Carlos Vives Continues 30th Anniversary Celebration with Appearance on ABC’s “The View”

Colombian icon Carlos Vives, who this year commemorates his 30th year in the music industry, continues his celebrations with an appearance this morning on ABC’s The View. During the taping, he serenaded the crowd with his version of the classic vallenato songs, “La Gota Fría” and “Las Mujeres.”

“La Gota Fría” and “Las Mujeres” are both songs off Vives’ album, Clásicos de la Provincia, that also turns 30 this year. He used the project to create a new sound that changed the history of Colombian pop, and opened paths for future generations, projecting the vallenato sound internationally. Vives recently joined forces, for the first time, with another one of the most important Colombian artists of his generation, Juanes, for a new version of the classic vallenato by Carlos Huertas “Las Mujeres,” creating a very anticipated moment for Latin music. The single is currently Top 10 on radio across Latin America.
