To celebrate Cinco de Mayo, luxury tequila, Cantera Negra shares five new tequila cocktails just in time for the festivities. The five cocktails include an espresso martini, bloody mary, margarita, paloma, and mule.
Cantera Negra means “Black Quarry,” inspired by the rich volcanic soil from where their agaves grow. Their tequila is handcrafted in small-batch quantities using 100% fully mature Blue Weber agave. They do not believe in cutting corners and permit only time-honored traditional production methods, and unlike others, they never add sugars or colorings. Paloma
- 2oz Cantera Negra Silver
- .5oz fresh lime juice
- 5oz Mexican Squirt
- Tajin and sugar for rim
Espresso Martini
- 1oz Cantera Negra Café
- 2oz Espresso
- .24oz sweet condensed milk
Bloody Mary
- 2oz Cantera Negra Silver
- 1 cup tomato sauce (can sub Clamato for less ingredients but I wouldn’t)
- 2 cups Clamato Classico
- .75oz horseradish
- 2oz fresh lime juice
- 2oz orange juice
- .5oz Jugo Maggi
- .5oz Cholula or Tapatio hot sauce
- Celery salt, smoked paprika, and pepper to taste
Mule
- 2oz Cantera Negra Silver
- 5oz Ginger Tepache
- .5oz fresh lime juice
- Chili mango and lime for garnish
Margarita
- 2oz Cantera Negra Silver
- 1oz fresh lime juice
- .5oz agave nectar
- Blood orange slice for garnish
