Celia Cruz’s “La Vida Es Un Carnaval” Revived For “La Usurpadora: The Musical” Soundtrack

To celebrate the highly-anticipated release of La Usurpadora: The Musical, a new version of Celia Cruz‘s iconic hit “La Vida Es Un Carnaval” featured in the film has been released. The updated version features the divine voice of Cuban actress Isabella Castillo, who plays twin sisters Valeria and Victoria in the film.

La Usurpadora, The Musical is an original movie with a musical adaptation of 1998 hit telenovela La Usurpadora, one of the most successful telenovelas of all time that was aired in more than 125 countries, is headed to the big screen in the United States on April 7 and in Mexico on April 12.

Produced by Pantelion Films and The Lift Entertainment, the film will feature an irresistible soundtrack produced by 7-time Grammy and 13-time Latin Grammy® winner Sebastian Krys along with Doug Emery and co-produced by Daniel “Vago” Galindo, released exclusively by the renowned label Rebeleon Entertainment and Virgin Music US Latin on April 7.

In addition to “La Vida Es Un Carnaval,” La Usurpadora: The Musical soundtrack also features beloved hits by Selena, Gloria Estefan, Grupo Bronco, and many others, which were all recorded by the cast that along with Isabella Castillo also features Alejandra Guzman, Alan Estrada, Cecilia Toussaint, Jesus Ochoa, and Susana Zabaleta.
