Celebrity chef Aarón Sánchez is on a mission to find a new crop of talented chefs to concoct the quintessential Hispanic “sabor” in the all-new Hogar de HGTV series, EL SABOR DE AARÓN.

Getting the opportunity to spotlight some of the brightest stars and sharpest minds in the Hispanic culinary scene is an honor, and I cannot wait for Hogar de HGTV viewers to see what we have in store for them.
This original 10-part series features 20 professional chefs from across the United States as they showcase their spin on the rich Latino culinary tradition through a series of creative and competitive cooking challenges.
In each 30-minute episode, two Hispanic professional chefs go head-to-head in a series of highly engaging cooking challenges to determine who shall earn this episode’s distinction of EL SABOR DE AARÓN. Aarón asks them to prepare two different dishes with ingredients carefully chosen by him. In the end, Aarón – alongside a panel of celebrity guest judges – will weigh the taste of the dishes with the culinary chops of each chef before announcing who has nailed EL SABOR DE AARÓN – the taste of Aarón. Featured guest judges include boxing legend Oscar de la Hoya; celebrity chefs Benito Molina, Solange Muris, Deborah de Corral, Grace Ramirez, Ruffo Ibarra; and mixologist Manny Hinojosa.
EL SABOR DE AARÓN will premiere on Thursday, May 5 at 9 PM E/P on Hogar de HGTV, flanked by two other programs also featuring the vibrant Mexican-American cooking culture: TACO TRIP S2 (also featuring Aarón Sánchez) and COCINA MEXICANA PARA TODOS (hosted by Marcela Valladolid).
EL SABOR DE AARÓN will air on sister network Discovery Familia on Saturday, May 7 at 8 E. The series will also be available to mobile and streaming viewers via the Discovery Familia GO app. In addition, Hogar de HGTV’s social media platforms will also feature chef profiles, behind-the-scenes footage, and exclusive chef’s tips from Aarón Sánchez himself.
