To speak of ChocQuibTown is to speak of enjoyment in its purest form. Just hearing the band’s name gets fans in the mood to dance. Keenly aware of their reputation as rhythmic virtuosos, the band set out to make their sixth studio album Sin Miedo danceable but also with plenty of songs that can be dedicated to that special someone.
This album is solely produced by band member Slow Mike, known as CQT’s wizard of beats, as the other two members stepped away from their previous co-production duties.
Sin Miedo is an album that urges us to confront beliefs that stop us from moving forward, and an invitation to find a balance between body, soul and daily life.
We’ll just go ahead and say it, ChocQuibTown is one of the most underrated groups in Latin music. They’ve released music that has made the world sing, dance, and cry. One of our favorite tracks is “Cuando te Veo” featured on their fifth studio album, El Mismo. Their music is indeed a celebration of life and love, ChocQuibTown are simply amazing.
