It’s official, Danny Trejo and Disney star Madison Hu are set to star in upcoming pilot Sage Alexander, which has all the makings of a binge-worthy summer hit.
Episode one, “Hall of Nightmares,” follows a group of supernaturally gifted teens as they discover an entrance into the dark realm, a haunted underworld that feeds upon their ever-increasing terror, from which few return.
Trejo is set to play Oddvar Folsom, a rugged angelic-human warrior who relishes combating dark beasts wherever he finds them. While Hu will be playing the part of Chelsea Nevins, a determined and confident angelic-human student who takes charge when she and her classmates enter a mysterious and evil underworld.
Trejo and Hu join Todd Terry, J.B. Edwards, Mark Hanson, Stevonte Hart, Aidan Lanford, Dodge Prince and Ashlea Rae on screen for this action-filled series.
The pilot is a prequel to the first book of Steve Copling‘s well-received YA series released last April, Sage Alexander and the Hall of Nightmares. Book two, Sage Alexander and the Blood of Seth, is set to release April 11, 2018. For more information about the series, please visit sagealexander.net.
