An unscripted docu-series for today’s generation of kids, with animated emoticons, “boomerang” shots and on-screen memes punctuating the summertime adventures, is presented in the return of “Bug Juice: My Adventures at Camp.”
The 16-part series chronicles the outdoor fun, team activities, new friendships and the experience of being away from home for a new generation of kids at the popular Camp Waziyatah in Waterford, Maine. The series premieres Monday, July 16 (7:30-8:00 p.m. EDT), and will be presented Monday-Thursday evenings throughout the summer on Disney Channel, the DisneyNOW app, and Disney Channel VOD.
Producers returned to the series original locale (1998) to film the myriad of fun activities as well as the challenges the campers face, including trying to fit in, being homesick and the ups and downs of friendship. Through it all, viewers see the camper’s resilience and how they each come into their own through a summer of fun.
