Rosa said:

After our first work together in the Lunas del Auditorio Nacional, Mexico City, on November 1, 2013, Natalia has been a constant in my mind. I love Natalia for multiple reasons: her musical style, her ability to combine traditional Mexican folklore and contemporary pop in a way that is extremely pleasing to my ears. Knowing her musical heritage, especially hers and her talented father Gastón Lafourcade, a musician and harpsichord maker, has been a true source of inspiration. Natalia’s voice is truly captivating, and I am deeply grateful and honored to have had the opportunity to record this wonderful performance. She embodies everything I admire in music: authenticity, the constant celebration of musicians and artists offering a truly human experience. I also appreciate her deep connection to Mexican culture and her commitment to the preservation and promotion of traditional Latin American music. Natalia’s captivating voice in this interpretation of Blanca Mujer is passion, beauty, versatility, honesty and a sincere expression.

Lafourcade added:

Ten years have passed. I feel like it was almost another life. That honor. How beautiful to travel to Puerto Rico and that, like a fleeting encounter, we could intertwine between clouds and magic. Draco Rosa represents a very important reference in music. I always had a deep admiration for him as a person and also as an artist. At the beginning of my career he was a constant reference. I am glad that after so long his desire is to visit this small and powerful moment in our history, to bring it to life in this present. In the meantime, I wish this deep and beautiful song to fly high and touch the hearts of many beautiful people. I see it as a hymn to life and death. As well as love. The subtlety of life itself. It remains for me to say thank you from the depths of me for being part of the moment of my dear Draco.
