#ERocks Best – Hip Hop Artist

Hip Hop ruled the charts, social media and the news in 2017, but these 4 artists made the most impact.

Cardi B, from a reality tv star to the top of the music charts, her debut single “Bodak Yellow” dominated 2017. Teen, babies, grandparents, parents, and even TV news anchors sang the infectious hip-hop anthem. The track even spawned a Latin trap remix that heated up Latin radio airplay. 2017 was a great year for Cardi B and there seems to be no stopping her as 2018 approaches.

Macklemore parted ways with Ryan Lewis (hiatus to be exact) and released his second solo album Gemini, which features hit singles “Good Old Days (ft. Kesha),” “Willy Wonka (Ft. Offset),” “Marmalade (Ft. Lil Yachty),” and “Glorious (ft. Skylar Grey).” He embarked on a solo tour that sold-out in minutes and in 2018 he’s teaming up with Kesha for a tour that is sure to have everyone talking.

Kendrick Lamar, he’s the king of hip-hop, the king of change, and the king of the music charts. DAMN., his latest album spawned non-stop hits including our personal anthem “HUMBLE.” In 2018 he’s embarking on a European tour, and it’s expected he’ll announce a U.S. tour shortly.

Logic made a statement with the year’s massive anthem, “1-800-273-8255” which garnered a GRAMMY nomination for “Song of The Year.” Rumor has it he’s getting ready to announce a 2018 tour in support of the hit single and his third studio album Everybody, available now on iTunes.
