Legendary pop trio, Hanson brought their Underneath Experience Tour to LA at the Belasco.
The trio performed two nights, the November 10th show was an acoustic show with Matthew Sweet as opening act, night two on November 11th was an electric show with Phantom Planet as opening act.
We were fortunate enough to cover night two, the show was absolutely legendary. They performed a variety of tracks from all their albums including “Dancin’ In The Wind,” “Hey,” “Penny & Me,” “Get Up & Go,” “In The City,” and of course their global hit “MMMBop.” They also performed a couple of covers including Radiohead’s “Optimistic,” Bill Withers “Ain’t No Sunshine,” and Tears for Fears “Everybody Wants to Rule The World.” If all that wasn’t enough, the trio was joined by Phantom Planet for a performance of “Lost Without Each Other.”
Hanson might’ve been the biggest brother trio in the late 90’s, but a little over 30-years later, they prove that they’ve still got it. Their stage presence, the way they interact with fans, it’s all beautiful. Isaac, Taylor and Zac truly are rockstars, if you have the opportunity to see them live, do it, you won’t regret it.
