Jack Antonoff Announces 70s Inspired ‘Minions: The Rise of Gru’ Soundtrack

Is there anything Jack Antonoff can’t do? Antonoff has announced the track list for the 70s inspired Minions: The Rise of Gru soundtrack.

The soundtrack features St. Vincent, Brockhampton, Kali Uchis, Brittany Howard, Bleachers, Thundercat, Phoebe Bridgers, and others covering hit ’70s material from Kool & the Gang, Nancy Sinatra, the Carpenters, John Lennon and many more. Plus, an original track that Antonoff wrote along with Sam Dew, Patrik Berger, and Kevin Parker that is performed by Diana Ross and Tame Impala.

The soundtrack was recorded in two of music’s most historic and illustrious spaces: Los Angeles’ Conway Recording Studios and New York’s Electric Lady Studios. Tracks will start be released starting May 20th, with the full soundtrack being released on July 1st same day Minions: The Rise of Gru opens in theaters.
