Canadian-born, Brooklyn-based indie dream/pop artist Jenny Kern drops her latest single, “Move On.”
“Move On” conveys acknowledging the need to let go of someone or something. Kern speaks about the importance of distancing yourself from people or things that have caused you harm and that by doing so, you are able to work through your emotions and ultimately find inner-strength and a new found confidence. The songwriter shares:
This song is about moving on after the end of a relationship. It’s an anthem, a sort of charging forward and getting to understand what you want. At first you don’t know how to navigate the emotions that are hitting you in the moment so the lyrics toy with that vulnerability. But ultimately it’s an empowering way to realize you can heal yourself.
