Jon Batiste Wins Golden Globe for ‘Best Original Score – Motion Picture – SOUL’

Internationally acclaimed musician, Jon Batiste, took home an award for Best Original Score – Motion Picture – Soul at the 78th Golden Globe Awards, which aired Sunday, February 28th on NBC.

Jon accepted the award along with his fellow winners, Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross, for his contribution in helping to compose and arrange the music that serves as the focal point and backdrop of the outstanding film. SOUL also took home a Golden Globe award for Best Animated Feature.

This marks Jon’s first time as a Golden Globe nominee, and now winner as he prepares to release his new album WE ARE (Verve Records) on March 19th. THE LATE SHOW bandleader has seen an outpouring of love and support racking up nominations this year that include:
