For one day only at Palomino Festival (7/9), Goldenvoice created a magical day full of some of the most innovative, authentic, and boundary-pushing talent in country, folk, pop, bluegrass, and everything in between. Kacey Musgraves, Willie Nelson & Family, Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit, Zach Bryan, and more gave Southern California country fans an experience like no other.
Palomino brought newcomers and legends alike to the shady oaks and parkland of Brookeside at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena for a full day of non-stop performances. The day kicked off with Logan Ledger and ended under the stars with Kacey Musgraves featuring performances from Morgan Wade, Paul Cauthen, Orville Peck, Old Crow Medicine Show, Valerie June and more throughout.
A special moment happened in the middle of Kacey Musgraves’ set when she brought out Willie Nelson for a special performance of his song “On the Road Again.” The crowd clapped and sang along to the iconic hit performed by two legends in the country music genre. Musgraves’ grandfather was in the audience from Texas and she noted that it was a full-circle moment to have him there alongside her “other grandfather,” Nelson.
Separately from Palomino’s two stages packed with performances, the festival highlighted special guests Compton Comboys, and fans shopped at artist Nikki Lane’s Stagespot Marketplace while eating delicacies from some of California’s top restaurants including Maple Block Meat Co., Da Big Show BBQ, and Dave’s Hot Chicken.
