Kap G Takes On Social Issues with “A Day Without a Mexican”

Mexican-American rapper Kap G takes on social issues with his new anthem, “A Day Without A Mexican.”

At a time when the world seems to be turning upside down, much like an episode of “Stranger Things,” Kap G comes along and delivers an empowering track that takes on an issue that many are afraid to talk about or in this case, rap about.

Whether you’re into politics or not, “A Day Without A Mexican” is a breath of fresh air. Listen to the track and you’ll be amazed by how personal he gets, for example, “Sendin’ money to family yo when they need cash, Probably made the crib where you sleep at.”

Talking from experience, growing up as a Latino can be hard, but “A Day Without A Mexican” gives me hope. A hope that one day Mexicans and Latinos around the world will have their voices heard and that what is currently being said in this political landscape will be laid to rest. “A Day Without A Mexican” is one giant footstep in what seems to be a long journey, Kap G has started a movement and I can’t wait to see where it leads us to.

Another standout lyric, “Taco Tuesdays, yeah dawg you can thank us.” Hah!
