Keke Palmer’s DIVAGURL, a rising R&B girl group, comprised of lead-singer Keyana, Monèt, Sade, and LaShae releases debut EP, DIVAGURL, A Story By: Keke Palmer.
The music production from the EP draws inspiration from iconic girl group hits like Destiny’s Child‘s “So Good” (“S.O.B.”) and 3LW‘s “No More” (“Leave Me Alone”). It also incorporates modern styles heard in tracks like “Afford It” and “Rock With You,” which are featured in Palmer’s new films One of Them Days and The Pickup, respectively. Keke leans into what some might call “Empire music” — tracks created specifically for synchronization and licensed for TV & Film, resulting in an upbeat listening experience from start to finish.
To celebrate the release of the EP, the group along with Palmer released the video for “AFFORD IT“, from the motion picture, “One Of Them Days” (now in theaters).
