Disney’s “Mufasa: The Lion King” continues to be a global box office hit, and star Kelvin Harrison Jr. is giving back. On Thursday, February 20, the ‘Taka/Scar’ voice actor surprised students at Compton Early College High School in Compton, CA.

Following a special screening of the singalong version of “Mufasa: The Lion King,” Harrison Jr. ran out from the back of the auditorium to the shock and awe of the middle school and high school students in attendance. Answering questions from student reporters and leading a version of viral hit song “I Always Wanted a Brother,” Harrison Jr. talked about the importance of giving back, especially during Black History Month, working hard, and reminded students to still “be kids” and enjoy themselves.

Disney’s “Mufasa: The Lion King” continues to roar at the box office, currently grossing nearly $700 million worldwide. The film is available to watch at home now via digital retailers (Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV and Fandango at Home), and will be available on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray and DVD on April 1.
