GRAMMY-winning band La Santa Cecilia continues to be included among some of the music industry’s most important acts as part of major tributes.
On Friday, March 22, the band’s lead singer, La Marisoul, lent her singular voice to the event ‘BREATHE WATCH LISTEN: The Work and Music of Yoko Ono’ at the emblematic Walt Disney Concert in Downtown Los Angeles.
The concert celebrated one of the most legendary women of the 20th century, and La Marisoul was there to put her magical touch to the occasion. Her performance consisted of two songs: “Born In A Prison” and “Let Me Count the Ways”, both of which moved the audience profoundly. Other artists that were part of the festivities included Shirley Manson, from the rock band Garbage; St. Vincent, and Chilean singer Francisca Valenzuela, among others.
