One of the most unique and outstanding voices in Latin music, La Marisoul, the phenomenal artist and lead singer of the GRAMMY award-winning band La Santa Cecilia, has dropped the second chapter of her highly-anticipated solo album, ‘La Marisoul and The Love Notes Orchestra Vol. 2,’ via Rebeleon Entertainment and Virgin Music US Latin.
Inspired by legendary artists such as Olga Guillot, Toña La Negra, and Ella Fitzgerald, the album, produced by La Marisoul herself, is a stunning tribute to bolero music and American jazz, reviving the genres for a new generation of listeners around the globe. Just as on Volume 1, the acclaimed vocalist finds herself accompanied once again by an exceptional orchestra, which provides striking larger-than-life arrangements on a curated selection of classics, including “Dream a Little Dream” ft. The SongBirds, “Oración Caribe,” and “Nuestro Juramento,” the latter of which also sees the support of her La Santa Cecilia bandmates.
Enveloping listeners in sentimental yet divinely powerful stories that have withstood the test of time, ‘La Marisoul and The Love Notes Orchestra Vol. 2’ is a spectacular celebration of music history and supplies a new soundtrack that will guide fans on their journey through the ups and downs of life, accompanying them as they fall in love, follow their dreams, and even recover from heartache.
Along with Volume 2, fans can also enjoy the official music video for “Que Sabes Tú.” Directed by Humberto Howard, the creative mind responsible for La Santa Cecilia’s gorgeous video “A Thousand Times,” among others, the black and white visual is reminiscent of the cinematic works created during the Jazz Age and emphasizes the nostalgic essence and compelling emotion of the Myrta Silva-composed masterpiece, which has been resurrected by La Marisoul in 2022.
