Rising indie-rock project Speak Low If You Speak Love has premiered a new song called “Contrasting Colors.” The song is taken off the upcoming 2nd studio album, Nearsighted, with Pure Noise Records on January 19th.
Speak Low If You Speak Love is the solo project from the incredibly talented, multi-instrumentalist musician Ryan Scott Graham, who also plays bass and provides backing vocals in the popular pop-punk band State Champs. Graham had this to say about “Contrasting Colors”:
”Contrasting Colors” is a song about one thousand realizations in one: Realizing you and the person that you fell in love with lead completely different lives, realizing that you’ve been holding tightly to something that doesn’t actually make sense, in the end, realizing that your intentions became motivated by something you can’t explain. But most of all it’s about accepting whatever outcome you’re given.
Nearsighted will be the second, full-length album from Speak Low If You Speak Love, following Graham’s debut record Everything But What You Need, which was released in 2015 by Pure Noise Records. The forthcoming album transcends beyond his early acoustic work, as he explores expanded sounds and instrumentation with a refined sense of depth and maturity.
Graham will be taking Speak Low If You Speak Love on the road in 2018, beginning with a U.S. tour supporting UK pop-punk favorites Neck Deep.
