Lucha VaVoom de La Liz Returns to The Mayan with “A Nightmare on Hill St” on Aug. 30th & 31st

Lucha VaVoom de La Liz (LVVDLL)—where world-class professional lucha libre-style wrestling, alluring burlesque goddesses, daring aerialists, comedy, music, and more collide—has announced its annual two-night Halloween engagement, dubbed A Nightmare on Hill Street, set for Wednesday, October 30th and Thursday, October 31st at their historic home venue The Mayan Theatre (1038 S Hill St.) in downtown Los Angeles.

Tickets for this 21+ event are on sale now for $56.00‒$98.00 at LuchaVaVoomdeLaLiz.com and fans are encouraged to wear costumes as there will be a costume contest with prizes for the winners.

The wrestling lineup for the Halloween engagement includes the very nice, very evil Danhausen (AEW star and self-proclaimed as “Conan O’Brien possessed by a demon,” whose been traveling all over North America doing the wrestlehausen and will be making his LVVDLL debut), along with Taya Valkyrie (AEW superstar and four-time AAA Reina de Reinas champion), Magno “The Man Mountain” RudoHunter J GallagherDestinyDoble Cara, and Dom Kubrick. Other wrestlers confirmed include fan favorites Paquita, Li’l CholoLos Crazy Chickens, the unidentified flying object and perennially airborne Jack CartwheelLos Chupacabras“Pretty” Peter Avalon, and Dirty Sanchez, the scatological master of lucha libre with his underhand dirty tricks and signature move “A Taste Of The Awful!” Plus, Danhausen will be doing a meet-and-greet with fans both nights, between 7:00 pm – 8:00 pm, near the venue’s entrance.

LVVDLL promises to deliver incendiary burlesque goddesses, twisty contortionists, and death-defying aerialists, including the incomparable Lou Lou la Duchesse de Rière (internationally renowned neo-burlesque dancer hailing from Kahnawake, Quebec, whose accolades include being voted #1 burlesque performer in Canada and holds titles from the Burlesque Hall of Fame), Marie Devilreux (Brazilian bombshell and international burlesque, fire, aerial showgirl), Chanel Pepper Duo (multifaceted performance artists whose expertise lies in the aerial arts, including hoop, silk, and the unique discipline of hair hang), and Cesar V. (aerialist from the Tijuana-based school Cinesis, which teaches dance and aerial sports). Plus, the Xipe Totec Aztec Dancers will be performing as their Día de los Muertos incarnation.

Delivering insanely off-the-cuff commentary both nights will be comedian host Blaine Capatch, with a surprise comedian co-host to be announced, and returning as ring announcer extraordinaire is the international heartthrob Ignacio Serricchio.
