MAPS, aka composer and producer James Chapman, shares new track “Sleep Today” ahead of a 4-track EP release next month.
“Sleep Today” was recorded at Chapman’s studio in Northamptonshire, England during the making of his most recent album Colours. Reflect. Time. Loss. This was followed by additional recording sessions with the renowned Brussels ensemble Echo Collective, the percussionist and drummer Matt Kelly, and vocalist Rachel Kenedy. The track wasn’t included on the album because it always seemed to stand alone somehow.
The new EP follows Colours. Remixed. Time. Loss., a remix series that ran over the summer of 2020 which boasted a phenomenal line-up including Stephen Morris, TVAM, GLOK (aka Andy Bell from Ride), Russian Linesman, Barry Adamson, Polly Scattergood, C Duncan, Simon Fisher Turner, A Certain Ratio and more.
