Maria Becerra Gets Into the Holiday Spirit with Bilingual Version of “Jingle Bell Rock”

Maria Becerra, one of the most iconic voices in contemporary Latin music, releases her bilingual version of “Jingle Bell Rock,” in which she adds new verses composed in Spanish for this official adaptation.

Originally performed by American singer Bobby Helms and composed by Joe Beal and Jim Boothe, it debuted in December 1957 and has since become one of the top three most-listened-to Christmas carols worldwide during the holiday season.

The original idea for this reinterpretation comes from acclaimed producer and songwriter Jason Nevins, known for hits like “Popular Song” (Ariana Grande), “Cruise” (Florida Georgia Line & Nelly), and “It’s Like That” (Run-DMC). Inspired by iconic duets such as the one between Natalie and Nat ‘King’ Cole on “Unforgettable,” Nevins proposed merging Helms’ original voice with a new and fresh artist, choosing Maria to bring her voice, charisma, and connection with new generations.

Maria honors the original version in this new adaptation by incorporating Spanish verses and adding her personal touch. This release is the result of a special collaboration with the family of the original songwriters, who authorized this reinterpretation to preserve its essence while including Bobby Helms‘ original vocals.
