Mexican electronic-funk band, Midnight Generation release new album Tender Love. Originally from Chihuahua, the band has reached the farthest corners of the world, breaking all borders and paradigms for a Mexican band that performs its songs in English.
Their new production, “Tender Love,” is a delightful compilation of eleven tracks in which the band returns to what they love most: listening to and feeling the music they enjoyed as kids. Artists that inspired them, such as Chic, Prince, Electric Light Orchestra, or even Barry White, are the foundation of these new compositions, which combine funk-style synthesizers, guitar riffs, catchy vocals, and their distinctive talk box.
Tracks like “Energy,” “Found You,” or “Teacher” (featuring the German band Zimmer 90) take us back to the dance floors of Studio 70 of NY with electronic things, making each song a Dance anthem. With this album, Midnight Generation brings us for the first time a Spanish track: “Tan Cerca,” a single in which they explore the sound of their native language, which leaves us anticipating their next release.
