NOMAD & LOLA release Music Video for Their Haunting Cover of 40s Classic, “Similau”

Los Angeles based music duo and couple, NOMAD & LOLA, release their new music video for “Similiau”, from their debut EP, NOIR. This timeless classic is one of five iconic songs covered on the EP.

“Similau” was first released in 1949 by the Gene Krupa Orchestra and Peggy Lee. It has been revisited regularly throughout the decades including on the show “I Love Lucy” when Desi Arnaz performed the song in 1952. It was this performance that inspired Lola to develop this unique and haunting rendition with Nomad.

The duo uses this video to tell the story of a mysterious encounter between a traveling musician and a “spirit in the woods.”
