The stars came out and took a swing to help raise some money at the Rolling Loud x swang Golf Invitational, held on Friday, March 14 at the picturesque Angeles National Golf Course.
The scramble-style tournament was a phenomenal success, drawing over 120 participants and raising an impressive $10,000 for the Black Music Action Coalition‘s (BMAC) Restore & Rebuild LA initiative to help Altadena fire victims.
Notable attendees included actor Owen Wilson, Backstreet Boys’ AJ McLean, music artist Lazer Dim 700, actor Donovan Carter, Alex James from Pleasures, and professional golfer Rebecca Lee-Bentham, all rallying together to support Altadena residents impacted by recent fires.

Modi Oyewole, founder of swang, expressed the mission behind this impactful collaboration:
swang was started to create space for those who were never invited but always belonged; to reframe the game through culture for the ones who needed a different entry point to understand that the sport is for them, too. Teaming up with the biggest hip-hop festival in the world, right here in Los Angeles, makes a statement: golf’s next era is here, and it looks like us
swang has been instrumental in fostering inclusivity in the sport, emerging as a vibrant community that breaks down traditional barriers and reimagines golf as an experience rooted in culture and self-expression. As the host and sponsor of this charity event, swang played a pivotal role in uniting golfers of all backgrounds for a common cause, reinforcing the belief that golf can and should be accessible to everyone.
