Berlin-based indie/soul band, People Club, are following up on their debut single, “Better“, with a brand new song entitled “Lonesome“.
Of the song, the band explains, “‘Lonesome’ is a soulful tale of social anxiety, written from an introvert’s perspective in pursuit of motivation.” Prior to its official release, “Lonesome” was featured on Jack Saunders‘ BBC Radio1 segment, “Next Wave“.
A limited run of the 12″ double A-side single featuring “Lonesome” and “Better” is available for purchase via Big Move Records, here: http://bigmoverecords.com.
People Club is Sarah Martin (lead vocals), Ray Sonder (bass/vocals), Pete Costello (synthesizer/keys/vocals), Drew Deal(drums/percussion) and Saxon Gable (guitar/vocals). Although the members hail from the United States, United Kingdom, New Zealand, and Australia, they came together in Berlin, Germany in 2018 after meeting online via musician-search ads. The artists quickly bonded over a shared appreciation of soul music, and discussions of the activism and melodic sensibilities entrenched within the genre became a major inspiration for the band.
Now, with their double A-side single released, People Club are preparing their debut EP, due out in November 2019.
