2-time GRAMMY winning Latino DJ/producer duo, Play-N-Skillz, have undoubtedly made 2018 their year to shine. With an impressive career spanning over a decade, brothers, Juan and Oscar Salinas continue to raise the bar, curating music that not only blurs genres, but influences international audiences.
The Sony Music Latin recording artists are celebrating upon receiving the news that two of their songs have respectively been certified Gold and Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
Their official single, “Cuidao” featuring Puerto Rican superstar, Yandel, and Dominican trap artist, Messiah was certified Gold this week. “Cuidao” was released in late March under their label, Sony Music Latin/Latium Entertainment. The video, which was filmed in Havana, Cuba went on to surpass 11 million views on YouTube within its’ first month of release and now counts on more than 13 million views to-date.
The global hit, “Azukita“, an EDM track with Latin vibes in collaboration with Steve Aoki, Daddy Yankee, and Elvis Crespo was certified Platinum on Sept 6th. The track is the brainchild of Play-N-Skillz, who then brought together all the artists in what has become an undeniable success across the globe, giving Steve Aoki his first Spanish language hit. The single has been streamed on Spotify nearly 55 million times and has over 38 million views of the official music video.
