Alt-pop singer-songwriter poutyface releases new single “Peter Pan.”
The track is a hyper-pop punk waltz, lyrically calling out sub-par suitors that refuse to grow up. Of the track, poutyface says:
My friends and I wrote this song as a reality check for myself and all the other young women who have once been hopelessly infatuated with men who masquerade as our alternative wet dream. We got to talking about how red flags are often dressed up as green lights. This song is packed full of irony and cliches. It’s a social commentary on THE Prototype. We all know him, and being a little older and wiser now, I can confidently say: the boy who never grew up is not the man you want.
