Priyanka Chopra Jonas attended the Marrakesh International Film Festival this weekend to receive a tribute recognizing her outstanding contribution to cinema over her 20-year career.
She became the first actor to receive this recognition at Jamaa El Fna square in front of 30,000 people.
Priyanka said:
To think that my career started nearly 20 years ago is surreal. I am honored and proud to be recognized at the Marrakesh Film Festival. Thank you, truly, to everyone who came out to Jemma el Fan square.
Chopra Jonas also sat for a 60 minute Master Class / Q+A, where she spoke about her career, women in entertainment, breaking barriers, and why “satisfaction” means it’s time for a change.
Earlier in the week, Chopra Jonas was awarded UNICEF’s Danny Kaye Humanitarian Award. Chopra Jonas has been a Global Goodwill Ambassador with the organization for over a decade.
