Rebūke’s “Not Exactly” marks the first time in 17 years deadmau5’ mau5trap has released an official remix of the song. Other artists that have put their mark on the track include Peter Gelderblom, Trick & Kubic, Jean-Claude Ades, and Major North.
Originally released as a single in 2007, “Not Exactly” appeared on deadmau5’ third album 2008’s random album title. The nine-minute 15-second instrumental was an early success for the newly formed mau5trap at the time winning the Beatport Music Award for “Best Single” and charted on US Dance/Electronic Digital Sales Song Chart two years after its release. The beloved progressive house track makes its appearance again with the vinyl re-release of random album title this spring.
