Mighty Aphrodite Pictures has confirmed Cesar Camacho and Alexis Vazquez are set to star in Xolalpa’s 8th indie film currently listed on imdb as Untitled Jorge Xolalpa Film.
As usual, the prolific filmmaker will be returning to set this coming Spring, and we can’t begin to tell you how excited we are. According to IMDb, pre-production for the untitled picture has begun. Per usual, the plot is being kept under wraps, but sources close to the director have described the indie picture as a “Queer Divorce Drama.
In a time where inclusion and representation for the Latinx community continues to be woefully inadequate, once again, Xolalpa is putting his money where his mouth is by keeping his promise of making films for and by his community.
Camacho, a rising star in the industry, is an actor currently living in Los Angeles, CA. Most recently he booked a recurring role on the highly anticipated last season of Undocumented Tales.
Vazquez, of Puerto Rican descent, born in Queens, New York, is a professional dancer with over 15 years experience in the industry. Booking his first music video at 16 to now performing on some of the biggest stages with names like Teyana Taylor, Lumidee, El Alfa, Deborah Cox and many more.
We are told that principal photography will begin as early as April in Los Angeles and New York. The script is written and directed by Xolalpa and is being produced by Mighty Aphrodite Pictures.
