Russell Wilson and Ciara, co-founders of Why Not You Foundation surprised students at the Why Not You Academy (WNYA), outside of Seattle with holiday goodies.
During the visit, they surprised each student with a Dare to Roam antimicrobial backpack brimming with gifts, including:
- Human Nation/House of LRC T-shirt
- Human Nation Beanie
- 3BRAND Why Not You Scarf
- Spin Master’s Aerobie Sonic Fin Football
- Starbucks gift card
Also during their visit, Russell and Ciara helped to unveil the school’s new mascot and logo: the Lion, which was voted on by the students. Safeway Albertsons provided snacks for all students as well.
The Why Not You Academy opened in the Fall of 2021 and is a tuition-free, charter public high school which serves systemically underserved students just South of Seattle. The Academy provides innovative and tailored learning experiences, all while inspiring tomorrow’s leaders to lead with a why not you attitude.
