Music sensation, Scarypoolparty gets dark in the video for “Paradise,” the latest single off his Los Angeles EP, available to stream on Apple Music.
Directed by Juliana Carpino (Halsey, Bebe Rexxa, Bazzi) and shot all in 48fps, the video pulls the curtain on the not-so-glamorous side of living in LA, from not being able to afford rent, to losing yourself in the superficiality, to the disease of addiction that many of its residents suffer from. Scarypoolparty explains:
From the outside, a lot of people think of LA as this paradise, but living here, you see a lot of people hurting, a lot of people in pain that no one wants to talk about. I really wanted to make a video that puts you in a spot of not knowing what’s real and who’s who. Juliana Carpino really brought the idea to life for the song.
Scarypoolparty recently announced “The Acoustic Tour,” a 16-show solo acoustic tour set for this June, one of the first post-pandemic artist tour announcements. Following the tour, he’ll appear at MadCool, Summer Camp, Bonnaroo, and Outside Lands in 2021.
