Shawn Mendes get us right in the feels with his latest single “It’ll Be Okay.”
Mendes releases the track just two weeks after he and Camilla Cabello announced their break-up, no word if it is a break-up track, but the lyrics seem to tell that story. Mendes sings, “If you tell me you’re leaving, I’ll make it easy/ It’ll be okay/ If we can’t stop the bleeding/ We don’t have to fix it/ We don’t have to stay/ I will love you either way/ Ooh-ooh, it’ll be oh, be okay/ Ooh-ooh.”
Besides the break-up, “It’ll Be Okay” also marks Mendes’ first solo music release since his fourth studio album Wonder, which he released almost a year ago on Dec. 4, 2020. Mendes will embark on a worldwide tour in 2022, we’re sure he’ll be performing “It’ll Be Okay” live.
