PETA is awarding Disney Parks’ Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge with a Vegan Superstar Award for Reysing the bar for other theme parks by offering vegan meals, snacks, and drinks that are out of this galaxy.
Favorite vegan vittles include the Ronto-Less Garden Wrap from Ronto Roasters in Disneyland, packed with vegan sausage, spicy kimchi slaw, pickled cucumbers, and gochujang. The Triple Suns Breakfast Wrap at Ronto Roasters in Disney World is every bit as delicious, stuffed with vegan egg, smoky chickpea-onion slaw, and roasted tomato sauce. And for a sweet treat, both Galaxy’s Edge locations are home to the Milk Stand, which offers fruity, coconut-based versions of the “blue milk” that Luke Skywalker enjoys in A New Hope and the “green milk” seen in The Last Jedi.
Each person who goes vegan—or as Yoda would say, “Vegan, I go”—prevents nearly 200 animals (who feel pain and fear as much as any porg) from enduring miserable lives and terrifying slaughterhouse deaths every year. Going vegan is also greener than Luke’s lightsaber, since animal agriculture, by some estimates, is responsible for more greenhouse gases than the entire global transportation sector.
PETA—whose motto reads, in part, that “animals are not ours to eat”—opposes speciesism, a human-supremacist worldview. For more information, please visit PETA.org, listen to The PETA Podcast
