
Craig Robert Young (Mank) and Victoria Del Rosal (Your Iron Lady) have joined Season 2 of Amazon’s hit series Strangelove.
Young will play Adam, a man who is caught in the middle of a love triangle with his wife Karla and series regular David (Raury Rolander). Adam comes to Strangelove shortly after David and Gabriel (Charles Fournier) have officially separated. Del Rosal will play Martha, a psychology professor and Isabel’s (Maria Roman) love interest who is also an openly transgender woman. Del Rosal is immediately faced with challenges as Ana (Shelly Ro) and David, who are Isabel’s older children watch as their mother moves on with her romantic life.
Season 2 is expected to come with a punch as this time around creator Jorge Xolalpa and co-showrunners Shelly Ro and Luis Adrian Lara expressed in an interview with Out Magazine that sex work, PTSD and immigration are topics that will be discussed in depth. Having ended Season 1 with a joyful vacation trip, Xolalpa finds it important to show that life is not a fairytale as it is usually showcased.
Returning cast includes Alexis Vazquez (Cristian), Raury Rolander (David), Eddie Segura (Manuel), Brandon Baez (Rami), Charles Fournier (Gabriel), Shelly Ro (Ana), Maria Roman (Isabel), Emmanuel Lopez Alonso (Ian), Fabian Rodriguez AKA Naysha Lopez (Luis) and introducing Carlos Padilla Jr (George), Jennifer Bravo (Jessica), Cesar Camacho (Doctor Lopez), Diana Alvort (Savannah), Tony Robles (Carlos) and Paola Fregoso (Jeanine).
Production is expected to begin April 5th and will go on until mid-May this time returning with 8 episodes. Season 1 is currently streaming on Amazon and will soon be coming to Revry.
