On Tuesday, February 18th, NEON16, and Lex Borrero, along with BMI and Latin Grammy award-winning producer, Tainy challenged their closest celebrity friends to an e-sports basketball showdown in Miami Beach.

Tainy, whose latest work includes producing Justin Bieber’s newest single “Habitual,” is kicking off the year strong, reaching Spotify’s Top 100 within days of the song’s release. Known as the “Modern Architect of Reggaeton,” Tainy is the mastermind behind hits like Bad Bunny‘s X100PRE album, J Balvin, and Bunny’s Oasis album, Cardi B‘s I Like It, Kali Uchis‘ singles and more.

Coming off the heels of one of the biggest basketball weekends, the industry’s most notable names dropped their mics for a game controller in this special edition e-sports basketball tournament presented by Buchanan’s Whisky.  Cheers could be heard from around the room, from the bar to the stage, as fans sipped on an array of whisky cocktails while bringing the high-intensity energy from an IRL basketball game to the e-court. In true halftime fashion, guests were surprised with a pep rally-themed celebration with live music, a marching band performing reggaeton’s iconic hits and a performance by Alvaro Diaz.

Tainy took home another win, this time in the form of e-sports industry bragging rights.

Celebrities in attendance included Steve Aoki, Upscale VandalLeli HernandezWisin, Lennox, Sofia Reyes, DJ Pope, Tommy Mottola, AJ el Kallejero, MoMo, Justin Quiles, Jhay Cortez, Alvaro Diaz Rauw Alejandro, Lunay, Llane, Reykon, Farina, Lyanno and more.
