The iconic Biltmore Hotel will begin its centennial celebrations with a whirlwind of live music, dancing, and entertainment. The LA Noir Speakeasy NYE event will be held in the Crystal Ballroom – where a bevy of performers, displays, and tours of the actual speakeasy tunnels, will take guests on a roaring journey to LA’s golden era. Tickets are available HERE.
Artists and organizers of the famed Labyrinth Masquerade will be creating a world of jazz and speakeasy cocktails as they take guests on an epic countdown to 2023. The lively jazz ensemble, Alice Underground, will provide time-traveling tunes to an anachronistic era – while champagne flows and guests cut a rug in their dapper “glad rags.”
Attendees are encouraged to embrace fringe, pearls, and feathers. Period-inspired attire or black tie is encouraged, and imagination is celebrated. A coat check will be available on-site.
The 1923 opening of The Biltmore is widely credited for putting LA the map as a coveted metropolitan destination. Among its many accolades, the hotel hosted the Academy Awards throughout the thirties, was the stage where John F. Kennedy announced his presidential candidacy, operated a covert speakeasy during Prohibition and served as the backdrop for some of the most acclaimed films in cinematic history.
