Lionsgate unveiled the highly-anticipated title treatment for the next The Hunger Games film during Cinemacon, The Hunger Games: Sunrise on The Reaping, set to hit theaters on November 20, 2026.
Based on the novel by Suzanne Collins, the film adaptation of The Hunger Games: Sunrise on The Reaping will be directed by Francis Lawrence based on a screenplay by Billy Ray, produced by Nina Jacobson, Brad Simpson and Lawrence.
THE HUNGER GAMES: SUNRISE ON THE REAPING will revisit the world of Panem 24 years before the events of The Hunger Games, starting on the morning of the reaping of the 50th Hunger Games, also known as the Second Quarter Quell.
