London-born, LA-based acoustic duo, The Luck have released another clip from their Dave’s Room Session, titled “Holding On.”

“Holding On” represents one of the many emotional peaks of the session, and is a perfect example of the duo’s warm and rich dual vocal exchange. The video made its debut on Examiner Los Angeles this week, reviewers praising the the group for their “magical familial harmonies.”

The Luck recently spoke about the meaning behind “Holding On”:

It was written in Notting Hill, before we made the move to the U.S. It’s a song about trying to help someone you love when they are going through a difficult time – when you just want to make them feel better and take all the pain away. It was actually the voice of our mother, “watching over” Esmay in the aftermath of a breakup with her boyfriend.

The “Dave’s Room” sessions were born out of a desire for the band to capture the energy and sound of their street performances, so they recorded a set of intimate live videos with grammy-award winning engineer David Bianco at Dave’s Room studios in Hollywood, originally opened in 1970 as ‘Mama Jo’s’. Bianco has produced and remixed tracks for notable acts like Aerosmith, The Black Crowes, and Primal Scream.
