The Mars Volta released their ninth concept album “Lucro Sucio; Los Ojos del Vacio.” The 18-track album is a sonic masterpiece that takes the listener on an atmospheric journey from start to finish.
Composed and written by Omar Rodríguez-López and Cedric Bixler-Zavala, the duo reintroduces and simultaneously reinvents their musical essence to their beloved audience. With songs like the congo-heavy “Enlazan Las Tinieblas,” sensual and groovy bass-inspired “Voice In My Knives,” and the experimental yet intriguing “Celaje,” the duo shows their expert ability to intertwine different elements.
The Mars Volta also announced their upcoming North American 25-city fall tour featuring performances in major cities like Miami Beach, Atlanta, Chicago, Portland, and San Diego. This tour follows their successful nationwide tour with alternative rock band Deftones.
